I believe that San Francisco is one of Americas greatest cities, but it is wrought with economic disparity. When I read in Richard Floridas The Flight of the Creative Class, I wasnt surprised when he listed San Francisco as the 9th highest city of economic inequality in America. The rest of his book warns that America is facing a widening class divide, and the middle class is virtually disappearing. Cities like San Francisco are just a microcosm for this situation, and Market Street is a further microcosm for the rest of the city.
